Q's Natural Hair Bar

My name is Quindella and my moniker in the salon is Ms. Q. I’ve been in the hair industry for 25+ plus years. Hair has always been something that came natural to me, so cosmetology school was a no brainer.

I started working in a salon with a seasoned hairstylist who taught me everything about, not only doing hair, but the health of hair. The minute difference in perspective in the early learning years, allowed me to stand apart from stylists who were just “Doing hair”.

I became known as the hairstylist with “Growing Hands”. However, I found my hair passion when I decided to return natural in 2007. Don’t get me wrong I loved doing any hair, but it was something SPECIAL about doing Natural hair. Once I let my relaxed hair go, which was a journey in and of itself, it opened up something different in me.

See, during that time, relaxed hair was pretty popular, not many sisters were wearing their natural hair. So I was my own Guinea pig, I tried every product that was out at that time. Once I found the product that worked with my high density 4c curl pattern hair, I really saw how dope my curl pattern was along with the versatility my natural hair offered. 

​

I mean, i was rocking Bantu knots, two strand twist outs, braid outs, and coils which allowed me to be my own billboard for clients who were looking for a natural hairstylist.

 

I became my brand and My LOVE for doing NATURAL hair grew from there!
